The company "Strianese Conserve s.r.l." with head-office and own plant in Striano - Naples/Italy, was estabilished in 1987 with "STRIANESE" and "REGA" brands, following to long experience during the years from the Rega family.
The Rega family first started in 1965 with the SAN MARZANO tomato being the best one's, the reasons are linked to the nearness of this area to the foot of Mt.Vesuvius, that in the last eruption conferred to the lands an extraordinary fertility: to the climate and to the several small sources of pure water .
These sources from the Sarno Valley and the basin of Lavorate go across the whole area and the farmers use that water to irrigate the lands.
In this way only healthy and ripe tomatoes enter in the plant, which are processed on the same day of arrival and respecting the maximum standard sanitary, they preserve all their genuine freshness and the perfume of a tomato just picked from its plant.
All these reasons, make this part of the Campania Region the natural habitat for a supreme quality of San Marzano tomato DOP.
